Who we are
This website is operated by Legitely (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@getlegitely.com.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit the contact form or the optional form on the Legit Check results page, we receive the details you enter — such as your name, email, business name, business type and website URL, your consent, and anything you type into a message field.
- Legit Check. Your answers to the 15 assessment questions are stored only in your browser (session storage) to calculate your Legit Score, and your results are shown to you on the website straight away — you do not have to give us anything to see them. If you choose to fill in the optional form on the results page, we also receive a summary of your results: your Legit Score, a short assessment summary, and which areas passed or need attention.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) and, if enabled in future, privacy-conscious analytics that do not identify you personally.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry or message.
- To provide, maintain and improve our services.
- If you gave consent on the Legit Check form, to send occasional practical tips and information about improving your online presence, with an unsubscribe link in every message. We do not use your details for automated profiling, advertising or AI processing.
- To protect the website against spam and abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We rely on a small number of service providers to run the website and communicate with you. In particular, Formspree (formspree.io) processes the submissions from the contact form and the Legit Check form and passes them on to us; our hosting and email providers store and deliver messages. We share your information with these providers only as needed for those purposes, or where the law requires it.
Retention
We keep inquiry and lead information for as long as needed to respond and for our legitimate business records, then delete or anonymise it.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from tips at any time using the link in the email.
- You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@getlegitely.com.
- You can clear the Legit Check answers stored in your browser at any time by clearing your site data.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It uses only what is needed for the site to function. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated first.
Children
This website is intended for business owners and is not directed to children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
